Would you trust a dentist with your finances? Or a Veterinarian to cut your hair? The answer should be no because people are experts in a field for a reason. People go to school for years to prefect the field they spend their life doing. In Matt Walsh’s article “Robin Willaims didn’t die from a disease, he did from his choice”, Walsh tries to justify his thoughts on suicide by telling his readers that he battled with depression and had thoughts of suicide. To me, this is bull shit. I don’t understand the logic Walsh had while writing this. As someone who had battled depression, shouldn’t Walsh know first hand that depression is different for everyone? He more then anyone should know that you can’t generalize about something this big. Regardless if I agree with Walsh’s point of view or not, his blog post is highly lacking in evidence to support his claim which by the way is wrong.
